About this piece
Shaped in earth and then transformed by fire, traditional Moroccan pottery bears witness to an ancestral craft, in which material and firing give each piece its singular character. The shades, irregularities and visible traces on its surface tell of the direct relationship between hand, earth and fire.
Raw and sculptural, this pot finds its place naturally in a contemporary interior today, set on the floor or on a piece of furniture like a collector’s piece. A quiet presence, where beauty lies in the material, the simplicity of the form and the marks of time.
